SPONSOR PROFILE – ADH

ADH GOLF AND UTILITY VEHICLES

When I spoke to Simon Eissens, the Sales and Business Manager of ADH Golf and Utility Vehicles, the first question I asked him was what the initials ADH stood for.   They officially mean Alan Douglas Hill who was the original founder of the Business, but Simon was quick to point out that, unofficially, ADH also stands for Another Disaster Happening, which is the more accurate reflection of the game, and the business, of golf.

Seriously though, ADH Golf and Utility Vehicles is just in its second year as Sponsors of the Western Australian Veteran Golfers Association and they have shown great enthusiasm and enterprise in capturing the interest of ageing golfers who stubbornly continue to trudge our golf courses while yearning for the ease and comfort of a cart.

If, like me, you are looking to the future and wondering for how much longer you will be able to walk a golf course, Simon (pictured right) and the sales team at ADH have a fantastic depth of knowledge about all the vehicles, regulations, servicing and transport issues of every conceivable type of golf buggy.   I would recommend every ageing vet to pay them a visit and get an insight into what is available now, both new and used, (and what is being developed for the future), to enable you to plan and make informed decisions about your continuing involvement in the game of golf.

Also, when the inevitable situation arrives when your body, your eyes and/or your mind starts to deteriorate and you desperately try to convince your doctor that you can still drive your car and do other things that you once did with ease, a bit of knowledge about the mobility vehicles that are available at ADH could be very useful.

Parmaker 4 and 3 wheel mobility vehicles are easily transportable and convertible to golf carts.

Good forward planning could almost see us using a one-seater golf buggy now and converting it to a gopher when that unthinkable day arrives!   You never know, the day could come when you will be able to drive your golf cart/gopher from your home to the golf course, play a round of golf and do the shopping on the way home.

Depressing?  All those vets who, like me, have joined the OBE club (and that number is increasing to the point where we will soon have to introduce A and B grades for the OBE winners!) must have thought about these issues.

Do not forget that they also have fully restored used vehicles in their showrooms.

Look on the bright side.  ADH is there to help.
